Human Connection

That's one of yoga's superpowers...human connection.

Not social media IMs. Human connection. Not somersaults and splits. Pure body balance.

The way I see it, we all need yoga right now. Not for entertainment. Not for a hard-core workout.

We all need yoga so that we know our gifts are working. That hope is still possible. The work we do both on and off the mat creates real change in a world that feels increasingly chaotic.

Even if you are tired....even if it's been years...even if you've never tried it...take a yoga class. Connect with yourself and others; that is an authentic exchange of space, time, or conversation.

Yoga gives you a reason to smile — not because it's funny (although sometimes I must admit I work to share a bit of laughter with my students), but because you're seeing the beautiful truth: Every single day, you wake up with the gift of life.

Yoga reminds us of what it is to be human. It connects us with our bodies and with our minds. It makes a difference in our lives not just because of the poses and the breathwork but also because of the beautiful connections we make with other students and iwith ourselves. When we are more authentic, we can harvest greater relationships and a more meaningful life.
